Private Sailing Lessons are available for $65/hour. Note that this registration process for lessons for a single student. To see the full schedule of private lessons, please view the ‘Private Sailing Lesson Calendar‘.

Group Lessons are also available for small groups of 2-3 students. The cost for a group lesson is $55/person. The person registering the group lesson is responsible for insuring that all participants have completed the required Emergency Contact and Waiver Form.

Private lessons may be taught on either a Butterfly or a Melges 15. When you complete your registration form, please indicate in the ‘booking notes’ which type of boat you would like for your lesson.

In order to register for a Private Sailing or Group lesson use the form below and follow these steps:

1. First, select the instructor you are interested in. If you do not have a preference, the scheduling form will pick one for you based on the timeslot you select. Click on ‘Next‘ to go to the calendar.
2. Using the calendar you will be able to select a date and time for your lesson.
   • First, click on the date you are interested in. Only those dates with times available will be shown.
   • Available timeslots for the date you selected will be shown and you can click on the one you want. Once you have clicked on your timeslot, click on ‘Next‘.
3. Group Lessons: If you are scheduling a Group Lesson, update the ‘Clients’ box to specify 2 or 3 students.
4. Your reservation information date, time, instructor and cost will now be displayed.
   • If you want to cancel the request and pick a different timeslot, click on ‘Remove‘.
   • If you want to register for more than one timeslot, you can ‘Add More‘ to your registration.
5. When you have selected all of your lesson slots, click on ‘Next‘ and you will fill out your personal information. If you have a special request, you can fill in the ‘Booking Notes‘ box. Group Lesson: If you are booking a group lesson, please list the other participants. Boat Preference: please indicate if you would like to have your lesson on a ‘Butterfly’ or ‘Melges 15’.
   • Click on ‘Next‘ to see a summary of your reservation.
6. Now click on ‘Reserve‘ to submit your request. This will take you to PayPal to pay with your credit card.
7. You MUST pay the full amount with your credit card to complete the registration and reserve your timeslot. Please DO NOT pay only a portion of the amount, you must pay the full amount in order to be registered.
8. Once you have paid, you will receive a confirmation email with additional information about your lesson. If you do not recieve confirmation email, please contact us at torchlakesailingschool.web@gmail.com (check your spam folder first!).
